Relay team “Ukrainians in Northern Ireland” Charity Organisation took part in the 2025 Belfast City Marathon on Sunday 4th May 2025.
The goals were:
– to raise funds to purchase an ambulance to send to Ukraine;
– to raise awareness about Ukraine;
Huge thanks to our marathon runners: Kateryna Bidolenko, Lauren McGeown, Dr Volodymyr Shentsov, Alan Moore OBE DL (Honorary consul of Ukraine in Northern Ireland), Dr Vitaliy Ostropytskyy – who ran combined 42.2 km (26.2 miles)!
Special thanks to those who helped us: volunteers for “Ukrainians in Northern Ireland” Charity Organisation and all those who came along on the day to support our runners and cheer them on!
Thanks to your generous donations, our nominated charity “Ukrainians in NI” has raised so far £900 to procure additional ambulances (along with medical and humanitarian aid) to be send to Ukraine. Your contributions will make a significant impact in saving lives in Ukraine’s war zones.
